What can we make, on the theme of "Feelings"

For her half term homework, my daughter has to do any art or craft thing on the subject of "Feelings". This can be either photo, picture, puppet, collage etc etc, in other words anything. We can only think of doing pictures with different faces, ie sad, happy, angry etc, but would prefer to do something a bit different, as everyone will probably think of that.

Can anyone give a suggestion for making something different? We are short of time too, as we are off on hols tomorrow and don't get back until after school has started back, so really needs to be done within 1-2 days.

I hope you can help.

How about doing something on the theme of physical feelings rather than emotions - hot, cold, comfort, softness, hardness?

We have done something similar in the nursery; we took a picture of the children being sad, happy etc. We printed this out and then had bubbles coming off the picture with statements which made the children happy or sad "ie the twisted swing makes me sad!" ! the children then drew pictures to go along with the statement. Sorry if this is not what you were hoping for...its all i can think of...

Why not explore colour as emotion- make a red collage for anger, blue for sad, green for jealous etc? She could use objects in the collage which inspire each feeling IYSWIM...

DD's kindergarden did a fab workshop on feelings.

One thing they did was to take photos of the DC looking sad, angry, happy, shy etc. Printed out two copies of the photos and stuck them onto card and used as a memory game.

Another one was a feelings clock. Pictures around the clock face, happy, sad etc. The children can then turn the hands to state, that makes me feel like this.

What about a pillow, do happy things etc on one side and sad on the other

Can she use symbols, like grey cloud, broken heart, sad face etc on sad side
sun, flowers, hearts etc on happy side, and a pillow is something to cuddle happy or sad
