Need help with Debbie Bliss duffle coat!!

I have been knitting the Debbie Bliss duffle coat for six months now, I am a beginner and have attempted to do the hood three times now, each time I get it twisted and can not work out how to do it. I am so close to finishing but need some help.
Does anyone live in East London who would be able to show me what to do one evening or weekend? If not would somebody be willing to start it off for me if I sent them the pattern and what I have done, would be happy to pay someone or to give a donation to a charity....Please help, I really want to get this finished before my DS is too big for it!

Which book is it in and which bit are you stuck on? I have most DB baby / toddler books so can take a look for you if you like?

Thanks Kristina, its in Essential baby, this pattern. I keep on getting the hood wrong. I have sewn the shoulders to the back and everytime I join the two sides of the hood together (casting on to form the hood) I seem to get it twisted, I just can't work out how to doit. The instructions are straight forward but they just confuse me! ANy help much appreciated.

I have that book at home so just taken a quick look at the pattern. Do you think it is because you are somehow knitting the stitches from the wrong end on the left front when you get to that bit and that is why it twists? e.g. if you tried knitting across the stitches on the left front holder in the other direction (from what you have been doing) it may not end up twisting? . I am not an expert (more enthusiastic than skilled) so would be more than happy to come and meet you to have a look but not sure it would do much good as I am not a good enough knitter, but I wonder if there isn't a good shop in East London that you could pop into? Shops are almost ALWAYS willing to help out even if you did not buy the knitting in there I find - there is Loop in Islington which is lovely and friendly, and also one near Spitalfields called Fabrications that is quite cool and maybe close to you? I am based in West London so don't know that many others but also Peter Jones and John Lewis in Ox Circus have staff there that can definitely help you if you could get there?

Kristina, thats really kind of you thank you. I hadn't thought of going into a knitting shop and I live near fabrications, so will give that a go. I am knitting the stiches from the wrong side, but just seem to have a complete mental block when trying to work out which side I should start from (my brain doesn't seem to compute left and right). Right will give the knitting shop a go, thank you
