AuntyQuated · 31/05/2005 17:57

sorry to be thick ...so can it only cut sidekick dies but not sizzix dies??

champs · 31/05/2005 18:02

AuntyQuated · 31/05/2005 18:05

hello champs----did you see my other msg for you? your B&P went in the post about an hour ago, late i know, but only just.

champs · 31/05/2005 18:06

hi aq!! you can cut sizzlets dies and use the embossing folders. but not the sizzix dies as they are too thick. but if you have a siizix you can get a convertor to use the sizzlets dies and embosssing folders in it. thats why i went for the sizzix in the end.

OP posts:
champs · 31/05/2005 18:08

no, didn't see it... thanks!!

AuntyQuated · 31/05/2005 18:09

it's a complicated business, isn't it?
when you look at dies online...what colour are the sizzlits ones? aren't they all colour coded?

i keep thinking about buying one; then change my mind and buy ready cut ones from ebay!!

champs · 31/05/2005 18:09

heee crossed posts aplenty!! cheap dies link for you carolinett

OP posts:
champs · 31/05/2005 18:15

aq -- the sixix ones are green for small, yellow for medium, red for large.
sizzlets are mostly red but the alphabets come in different colours

Hi Champ
Thanks I've had a look
I don't think I'll bother the dies cuts are really expensive.

Carolinett · 31/05/2005 18:57

I'm fine Champs how are you?

champs · 31/05/2005 19:24

i'm fine thanks they are a bit pricey aren't they? I dont really like the style either. I do like the look of quickcutz tho.

Someone was selling a accucuts bag & shoe die cut on ebay last night it went for about £18.00 or more I thought that was dear.
I've got a quickcuts die cut hat it's the only one I've got I've used it loads of times they are priced similar to sizzix dies.

I've just posted a card in the new section with an outfit you could wear for Ascot, I wish

champs · 31/05/2005 20:53

lol, very nice.

I quite fancy having a go at the little cut out bodies & outfits.
Went to a craft fair at the weekend - 4 stalls selling cards ! I studied them all making loads of mental notes !!

champs · 01/06/2005 12:18

have you got a sizzix whizzz? I cant remember? if not, I have the body and girl and boy hair, and Jayzmummy has the bitty body, clothes and hair(in swap shop)

OP posts:
Whizzz · 01/06/2005 19:36

No Champs - Alas I have no Sizzix

I have another idea to make little triangle shaped bodies & use string for legs with big shoes on the end & possibly wool hair.
Watch this space !

champs · 01/06/2005 22:39

ooo sounds good!!

Have a look in the Panduro spring supplement book. Towards the back there is a design for stamps and something else (???) using little stick bodies. Very basic shapes, I thought about doing similar and using wire for limbs.

Thinking wool, one of my first Easter cards was a bright yellow foam chick, with string for legs, knotted at the "knees" with bright orange webbed feet!

Carolinett · 02/06/2005 10:21

Whizz
Nothing to do with sizzix but you use the foam just recieved this by email

Have a look at this
