Now, I know a lot of you have the sizzix but I have been looking at this one. Anyone got one or ever used it? It seems very expensive and I am not really sure I can justify it as the dies are as expensive and I would only be able to get 1/2 at first!

I LOVE the dies for these. They are more my cup of tea than most of the sizzix TBH. But I was steered towards the sizzix for ease of use.

You can buy a convertor for the sizzix that enables you to cut the quickutz dies, that's what I plan to do eventually. I don't know how sucsessful this is though!

When we were in Bolton at the weekend they had the converter on the Sizzix stand. The dealer said it had only just arrived in this country and would be appearing in shops soon.

I think other people have got there before and made converters though. Actually I heard one woman standing by the Sizzix stand saying that she used quickutz dies in her Sizzix with her Sizzix converter and they cut perfectly well. The salesman seemed surprised at that.

Sorry, that isn't clear...I meant that the woman customer was using her Sizzix converter that's been available for ages - the one used for cutting sizzlits and embossing.

I think I prefer the dies for the quickutz too which is why I am interested. Does anyone know where the cheapest is, have seen prices up to £70

Are you on about the quickutz that you need two hands to squeeze the handles together if you are they are really heavy going.
You can't use your sizzix machine with just the old converter the die won't cut.
What I used because I can't be bothered to get the new converter is, under the white board I put a piece of picture mounting cardboard and with certain card I cut you need a bit more lifting.
But don't try two pieces of mounting card because it's too thick So what you need is old converter white board and a piece of thick board
Metal converter form Cheapdies.com are £9.99 one day I will send for one

Actually I 've just looked on the cheapdies.co.uk and they've replace the £9.99 one with a £44.99 that includes a CD and other converters what a con.
Don't bother with cheapdies. I'll see if I can find the metal plate only, from somewhere else

I too like the look of the quickcutz dies.
I went for the sizzix inthe end because it looked more easy to use in sense of physical effort and was thinking if I wanted to punch lots of things at once my wrist may get tired with quickcutz.
could you go to a show or even your local stockist and ask to demo one?
