I scrap book and love it!

I go to a class every week (its my indulgence)!

There are loads of magazines on the market, I get Scrapbook Inspirations and Creating keepsakes.

My albums that I have made are 12" x 12", but some of my friends make smaller albums.

I have made one of our holiday to America, my DDs(I have3) all have their own, they are allowed to add there own page if they want, the younger 2 enjoy helping me!

Useful tips that I have picked up are ;

Make sure all paper you use is acid free
Double sided sticky tape is a must!
Pen, scissors, ruler, decent paper guillotine, craft knife.
Scan your photos rather than using the original.
Always use an odd number of photos

Most of all enjoy! I have made many friends while scrapping, have even been on a weekend retreat!

Have a look in your local newspaper, they sometimes have classes that you can attend, they can vary in price from around £3 -£7 . The one that I go to is £6, for that we get to learn new techniques and refreshments.
Are there any crafty shops near you, they may advertise classes.

Are you thinking of going to any classes?

You can get lots of lovely papers off the web, my favourite sites are

Scrapbookvillage
justamemory

I also use another site to get ideas from them as they have a gallery, and its called "scrapbook.com" some of the things are not my idea, but I have got a few ideas off them, plus it gets updated all the time.

I might go to classes-am at uni at the mo, so the idea of a "class" turns me a bit cold, but if I thought of it as a "social gathering" instead it would be good. We live in the right kind of area for there to be crafty classes too-there is a knit while you b/f group in the art gallery down the road (that sounds really global warrier now I have typed it), and a few crafty shops (main ones being WHSmiths and John Lewis tho-boo!) so worth investgating!
