These

Jaysmum · 20/03/2005 14:41

I can get these for £1 a bag....seems such a rip off to be paying so much more for them when you can get them so much cheaper elsewhere.....

SoupDragon · 20/03/2005 14:46

Try Ebay

Dingle · 20/03/2005 16:09

There must have sold out of the 100 pack!

Have a look

They also had some neon strands, but I thought the prices were rather high compared to what has been mentioned on here!

Didn't have any at our local newsagents either!

SoupDragon · 20/03/2005 17:01

The 100 pack seems so cheap compared to the 35 though - odd. Only £1 extra.

Maybe Jaysmum can sart up a mini business posting the £1 bags from whatever store "Bitz" is.

Jaysmum · 21/03/2005 01:37

Our local Bitz store is fab for odds and sods.....its a local chain down here in the SW.

I am going into town on Tuesday morning and will be stocking up on a few bags.

They have pearlised colours which are very pretty and a rainbow pack of primary colours including black and white. There are 100 threads all measuring 30 inches long in each pack for £1.

They had loads of bags in there last week and I should imagine they still have as its not such a big craze down here at the moment.....things do tend to take a while to hit us down here in the sticks!!!

I really dont mind grabbing a few extra bags if anyone wants them.....just let me know by CAT. If you send me the money for them with a SAE then I can drop them in the post to you.

Anything to help fellow crafties.

SoupDragon · 21/03/2005 08:19

Bumping for Dingle! I've still not broken into the pack i've already got. No time! Too busy hunting down instructions for an origami goldfish that you inflate

LittleRedRidingHood · 21/03/2005 08:52

Oh wow - I never new what these were called but i always loved them - spent hours twiddling them - Definitely tempted to buy some!!!

Jaysmum · 22/03/2005 16:16

Dingle I have got your scoobys for you.....I bought loads.....it obviously is talking off down here slowly because they had sold out of the smaller packs off 100 for £1 and now have bigger packs 100 1 metre lengths at £2per peack.....but lots of lovely colours, glittery ones, pearlescent, brights and pastels.....I also managed to get some smaller packs elsewhere for £1.29...

If anyone else wants any....let me know....

Dingle · 22/03/2005 16:56

You are a star JaysMum, thank you so much!
I have a couple of orders to make and then I can start working on a few new designs with them.[oo...excited emoticon]

roisin · 30/03/2005 21:05

Jaysmum - I wonder if you still have any of these packs? (I haven't seen them round here.) If you have any larger packs left, can you let me know how much for two packs plus postage, and your address and I'll send a cheque off to you.

I've sent you a CAT today

Roisin

roisin · 30/03/2005 21:09

OK - Jumping the gun there. I would have sent you a CAT, but I think you've changed your name and I can't do it.

Are you now Jayzmummy?

Jayzmummy · 30/03/2005 21:40

Yes i am.....Im going into town tomorrow.....so if you want some let me know and I'll pick them up for you!!!! Dingle had the whole range i could get amd it cost £6....if i am correct in my memory that was for about 300 threads....glitter, brights and pearl....postage was only about a £......

marthamoo · 30/03/2005 21:54

Well you learn something new every day. So a bit of knotted up string is a scoubidou - who'd have thought it ?

Friendship bracelets I knew!

roisin · 30/03/2005 21:55

Oh that would be great! Can you get me £6 worth, if they still have them for sale.

I have sent you a CAT. Once you get it you can email me your address and I'll send a cheque straight off to you.

Thanks,
Roisin

Jayzmummy · 30/03/2005 22:42

I'll check they have them first!!!!! I'll buy some tomorrow and then let you know.

champs · 31/03/2005 16:19

martamoo, friendship bracelets are made with material string/thread and made using different technique.
theses scoubies are made with plastic.
It is funny how trends really do go around and around!!

champs · 31/03/2005 16:20

btw, am happy to get some for anyone. just cat me and i will send off to you. loads of shops round here do them.

kkgirl · 15/04/2005 16:18

Jazsmummy

Do you have any left? DD has just come in from school desperate for them

Jayzmummy · 15/04/2005 17:15

arghhhhhhh......just got back from town and I stood looking at the new colours of scoubis and decided i had spent far to much today on my card supplies so i didnt get any......next time I go to town now will be next wednesday.....if I get chance to stop of on my way through before then, I will grab a load and post here so everyone can choose what they want.

SoupDragon · 15/04/2005 21:16

I think Essbee might be interested

psychomum5 · 18/04/2005 12:24

I have a Q.........how the hell do you actually do them.

My 9yr old has come home with one to do over the weekend, and I got totally frustrated. I don't understand them, and she can't explain them! I have looked at the links, but I still have no clue! Am I totally thick, or is it just not easliy explained.

I don't like to admit defeat on this, and nor does she....she has left hers at home and is going to say she forgot it. I would love to have done it for her when she gets back.

If all else fails I will go buy some wool and make some freindship bracelets for her....I know how to do those!!!

Jayzmummy · 19/04/2005 09:16

Right girlies....I am hitting town later on today....WHO WANTS SOME SCOUBIES????????

psychomum5 · 19/04/2005 09:17

I just want to know how to do them.....

My girlie laughed and said 'stupid mummy!!'

procrastinator · 06/05/2005 01:41

Could I suggest you look at the www.fun2make.co.uk website where they sell 20 scoubidous with clear instructions for just 75p. We found them really useful!!
