I've got a really cheap way of doing this: buy the clear A4 pockets and you know they have the ones with the perforations down one side (where they go into a ring binder) you put that edge next to each other, then place the next two below and use sellotape to hold them . Continue till its the length you want then just run a ribbon or string through the holes to decorate it a bit. Or if you dont like that style, just cut out strips of paper or stick white labels over the perforated edge to hide it. You can do this landscape and portrait wise, should workout. Then you either tape it to the wall with sellotape on the side that will be beneath the pictures or make a hanging thread bit. It will look fine when its full of your child's lovely artwork pictures.

I made these to show dcs pictures. That way I only have one at a time and it's easy to change them.

It's just a piece of painted tongue and groove wood cut to size and painted with wooden clothes pegs glued to it.
