Fixing loose stitches on the back yoke of a knitted sweater

Can anyone suggest a fix for a row of very loose stitches on the back yoke of a sweater (it’s the Ozetta Air)? Gutted that I’ve basically ruined the feature part. I’ve never used this technique before where you kind of knit in both directions off of the cast on row.

Try blocking it first and see if that helps get the stitches looking the way you want.

Is it Kitchener stitch, used to join two parts together? If so then you can pull the loops tighter from the back.

You could try tightening each stitch individually along the row, leaving a long thread, of the excess yarn, then pulling it through to the wrong side and sewing it down. Like this but all the way along:
