Im trying to knit a top down jumper, but each time I've started ive managed to twist the stitches so its half inside out! I thought i was really careful last time but I've managed to do it again. Any tips for avoiding this with a large no of stitches? So I dont end up giving up in frustration? Thank you kindly!

The easiest method is to knit the first few rows back and forth, before joining it in the round.

If that's not possible, then put markers in, or on the needles, every so many stitches, which makes it easier to check and to know which sections you've already checked for twists.

Sitting at a desk or table for the first few rows, so you can put your work onto the flat surface to check it, can also be helpful.

There are also methods of fixing a twist without undoing your work, Youtube has several helpful videos if you search 'how to fix a twist'.

I hope you find a solution. Knitting top down is by far my favourite way to knit jumpers and is so quick and enjoyable!

@Plot30B thank you! I'll have a hunt on YouTube for some correction tips, but if all else fails I'll knit the first couple of rows back and forth. It's a provisional cast on with spare yarn so I can get away with that. 4th time lucky.....
