Kids paint for chair

Reposting from diy!
I want to decorate a couple of white wooden chairs with my kids (4/5)
I was originally going to get a some wood paint tester pots, but they seem to be at least £3-4 a pot and not very easy to open for a child.

I remember when I was a kid you could get tester pots with inbuilt brushes.

Also the drying time is so long would I be better off with another type of paint.
any ideas?

If you want a "artistic" effect then acrylic paint might be your best option. "The works" sells sets for not too much. It should last pretty well but you could varnish over the top to make my last longer

Thank you!
I’ll get some cheap acrylic paints
Do you think I could just try water colours and then varnish with acrylic varnish?
(the water colours will make a lot less mess)
I’m not expecting it to look very good 😄

Water colours and varnish will just wipe straight off (I tried it when I was younger) . Old clothes and acrylics will be fine. It will come off hair and skin in a bath. Maybe you could work outside if it isn't raining one day to try to minimise clean up. Summer with a paddling pool would be good but I am guessing you don't want to wait 9 months!

Thank you so much!
Will stick with the Acrylics!
