Has anyone ever done calligraphy?

I would love to have a go but because I'm left-handed I wonder if I would be very sucessful!
I have found a site that sells both right & left-handed pens but wondered if anyone has any advice before I go out spending!

Had a call in the week from Adult Education!!

They hadn't go enough enrolled, so my course has been cancelled and I'm getting a refund!!!

Oh well, it looks like I'll just have to buy some "left-handed" pens and have a go myself!

I'll see what little craft courses are being held at my little "local" shop. I know there was a friendly and shrink plastic half day course I was keen on. Really enjoying the shrink plastic that I am doing ATM!

AQ, I read a good tip about working out shrunken sizes. Make yourself a ruler by drawing out to normal scale, then shrinking it.

I draw out my little designs but I still seem quite [shocked] by how small they end up.

I have made a few, but not actually made the cards up yet. I'll take a pic at some stage and add to "techniques!!

Ive just ordered some shrink plastic from lakelands.....I remeber shrinking crisp packets when I was a kid....I loved doing it then....cant wait to have a go.

Thanks Soupy, yes, I was a bit disappointed, and the fact that they only gave me a few days notice didn't help.Never mind, it will go on my list of things to do before I'm 40!!!

I remember maiking things form grilled crisps packets!! I LOVE shrink plastic, I put mine in the oven rather than heat it with a heat gun. It is fasinating to watch it all curl up and straighten out again!! [sad,embarrassed emoticon]!
