Knitting needles from Amazon

Hi,
I'm looking to buy DPNs
Amazon sell ten packs for £10.
Am I right in thinking I'm better off just buying one set at a time from a good brand?

It depends how much you knit with them. I have 2 really decent sets from amazon (1 bamboo and one steel) that I use on the very rare occasions that I use DPNs.

It wasn't worth me buying expensive ones because I mainly use magic loop to knit socks etc.

With expensive brands, there is a lot of variation in the feel and function of needles between brands, so if you're going to knit a lot it's probably worth trying one set from a few different brands, then eventually investing in a nice set of the ones you like best. Have a look at a few youtube video reviews of different needles before you buy any. I like 'Nimbleneedles' reviews, but there are a lot out there.

If you are a new knitter, it might be worth buying a cheap 'okay' set to get you started. Then if you lose interest, you haven't wasted too much money. They can always be a spare/ backup set later.

You make good points, thank you 👍 @Skybyrd

I forgot to add that each of my sets cost around £10-15 and as I said, I'm very happy with them for occasional use.
