My out-of-town grand-daughter, age 32, has sent me these two thingies (with a TV remote to show the scale.) The first Christmas present she has ever sent.

They seem to be very heavily waxed cloth, or maybe paper, so they are almost stiff.

Any ideas?

Waxed food wrap as an eco alternative to foil or cling film. Reusable and wipeable.

Don't wash them in warm water. Cold water - or the wax will melt off. My kids have their sandwiches in one in their lunchbox every day.

What a lovely present from your granddaughter! They are Beeswax Food Wraps and are a natural alternative to clingfilm for food!
You to use them over and over. When used with care (wash in cold water only with mild detergent), you can get up to a year's use from your wraps.

They Keep Food Fresher for Longer Are Antibacterial & Breathable, Sustainable & Compostable. And overall Reduces Plastic Waste

Thanks everyone. So it's not only modern high-tech stuff that baffles me, it's low-tech stuff too. Beeswax wraps, eh? Amazing.
