I'm looking for a new hobby but struggling to find what I want. I definatly don't want sewing and I already do a bit of crochet. I'd like something that creates something useful, I do like to cook. I've recently retired and have a little more time to commit to a hobby. Any suggestions?

It's a long time since I've crocheted and I don't have any yarns as I had a big clear out. I will have a good think about what I want to do.

Linocut printmaking is fun if you like image making. If you are wanting to sell though it is quite tricky - Etsy is saturated.

Bread and cheese making would be perfect, but as I already struggle with my weight I fear it would not help.

Ah then dyeing is what you want, natural or other. It means you can fiddle around on the stove with no calories being involved. It will complement the crochet as you can crochet your hand dyed yarn and you can sell the surplus with no pesky regulations!

How about writing a book on excuses for not taking up any hobbies?
