Selling on Facebook

My teen daughter has started doing lots of crocheting and friendship bracelet making ( really quite good, elaborate patterns ). She'd like to sell some and had thought about Etsy but I thought maybe Facebook was better really for this type of stuff. I've done my best to manage expectations with her, and I think she would be happy even to sell a couple, she just loves making them.
She has set up a business page on Facebook but we can't work out how people would actually pay for items if that makes sense? Anyone in the know that could give us pointers please 😊🤞

She could set up a basic website and I know you can have a website that accepts payment, I’m just not shrenifnyou can set that up for free or if you’d need to pay.

Other option is she uses Facebook to advertise (eg posting photos in local groups) and says ‘email me to order a bracelet in your favourite colours’ and requests payment by bank transfer in advance. She would have to email buyers her bank account number and sort code.

Other option is Paypal but it’s annoying for sales to strangers as Paypal make refunds very easy and some people just buy stuff then demand a refund as a scam.

Thank you. So the Facebook page is more just for advertising, I thought I was missing something with regards to how to set the payment options up.
Bless her I'm aware selling bracelets and keyrings and things is more akin to a stall, but she really wants to do it online so who am I to squash her big dreams 😊

There's a great UK platform called Folksy, similar to Etsy... I've not used it yet but I'm looking into it. Worth a look? Smile

I would use Facebook as traffic and set up a folksy account.

The Folksy site looks great. Thank you I think we'll have a go at setting that up.

Folksy doesn’t get much trade. They don’t advertise it much so your sales depend on you finding customers then sending them to Folksy to buy.

Ive given up. They take a big commission and if I’m finding buyers and driving trade there I might as well do so to my own website
