Good crochet patterns/stitches for scarves

Please can you share your favourite patterns/videos for crocheting scarves? I'm new to all this (4 weeks!), but have been practising quite a few stitch patterns - crystal wave, basket weave, alpine etc.

Now looking to move on to making some scarves/blankets and just wanted to know what really works well for you.

Thanks in advance

Not really the weather for it at the moment 😁but I like the challenge of cable style crochet using fairly chunky wool. If you look online you'll often find people rate patterns. Have you looked on Ravelry?

Ravelry

has all the patterns in the world.

fabulous place to lose a day or two

Ooh no I haven't, will do. I tend to learn better from videos than written patterns - have subscribed to a few people on youtube including Tiffany Hansen and Bella Coco.
Thank you!

The crochet shoulder wrappers group in ravelry links to loads of patterns.

Autumn splendour wrap, zen and the art of stash diving scarf, chevron lace wrap and 171-16 olive diamonds are some free patterns on ravelry with a repeating pattern. There are loads more! These are all fairly open designs. I find if they’re wide enough they still keep you warm.

If you want some thing more solid, but aren’t ready to try cables yet, calm cowl and wrapped in diamonds are two options.

Bernolie’s Designs have quite a few crochet scarf/shawl patterns but maybe not the best option when you’re relatively new to crochet.

These are all written patterns I’m afraid, I can’t follow video patterns. Some people struggle with Ravlery’s interface but if it works ok for you they do have a huge database. Pinterest can be a good source for patterns as well.
