What basic arts and craft supplies do I need for dd's use at home?

I'm planning to make a trip to a crafts store later this week to stock/re-stock our 'at home' basic art supplies so that dd can 'get creative' when we're obliged to be inside due to weather.

Please help me make a list of everything a well-equipped children's home 'art box' should contain. Here are my (woefully inadequate) initial thoughts:

Water colour paints
Paint brushes - varying sizes
coloured paper
heavy card
hole punch
glue stick
scissors
pipe cleaners

Please can you add to my list? Thank you.

Save your catalogues, like Next and Argos. Good for cutting out and pasting.

Here I am, back to report on our expedition to the huge American crafts store called Michael's. DD and I were mesmerised as we walked aisle after spacious aisle of everything you could wish for relating to arts and crafts.

We came home with the following:

Paints (washable of course) in big squeezy bottles in an array of colours
Paint 'palette' plate with indentations for holding various paint colours
Two craft kits of wooden stand up figures that can be painted (assortment of dinosaurs and butterflies)
Collection of brightly coloured pompoms
Box of clear adhesive 'dots' for sticking pompoms and other assorted items
Cardstock pad
Blank 'create your own' gift tags
Happy Birthday stamper for use on above tags
Stickers of individual letters of the alphabet
Various shaped sponges
Various bits of coloured/patterned ribbon (on clearance!)
Coloured feathers
Pipe cleaners - super value pack (!!)
Foam stickers - flowers, animals, sea creatures and Easter items
Various sizes of 'wiggle eyes'
Coloured modelling clay
Plain wooden 'treasure box' that can be painted

We could have spent twice as long, and a great deal more money. (TBH, I was amazed how little it cost to purchase so much). We had great fun, but I must go again without dd as there were some amazing gift ideas for her there. Also, an amazing source of not-the-same-old-thing birthday gifts for the endless round of parties that occupy our time at weekends.

Now that we're so well equipped, is there an chance I'll miraculously morph into someone with artistic/creative skills?
