Teal fabric dye

Can anyone recommend a teal fabric dye, or a petrol blue? I've had a google but there doesn't seem to be much out there. Unless I'm able to mix colours together. I'm looking to dye a pair of jeans

Dylon machine dye in emerald green turned my mid blue denim jeans into a beautiful deep teal.

Don't forget that the dye will account for the colour of your jeans to start with, so as @FinallyHere said, you need to go for green.

Absolutely @IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads

The only alternative is the treat the jeans with Dylon pre-dye to strip out as much as possible of the existing dye.

Starting with two identical pairs, I used emerald green to turn one pair of mid blue denim jeans a deep teal and the other pre-dye then olive green for a pure olive green.

I also dyed T-shirts go with them. I wear mostly shade on shade

Starting with pale blue T-shirts I used emerald green to turn the blue teal. I dyed all three with a quarter of a packet for a pale teal, then two again with half a packet of dye and one with the rest, so they came out at three different intensities of colour.

The same mix of intensities using olive green dye on white and grey T-shirts.

Never need to search for tops again.

Thanks all, the jeans in question are a pale blue colour so perhaps the emerald green would work

@Lemons8519

It's easier to build up colour than to remove it (though with pre-dye not impossible to remove it)

Id start with half a pod of emerald on pale jeans to see how you likes the shade. If it's not dark enough, I'd use the other half of the emerald pod with a quarter or an eighth of a lid of navy for a much deeper teal.

Have fun experimenting.

Another essential for me is a box of run catcher sheets, I've got Dylons's own, I'm sure other brands are available.

Once a garment is dyed, I wash separately with a run catcher sheet until the sheet comes out snowy white, and I know they are safe to mix in with other things.

After dying in the washing machine, I run several empty cycles with some washing powder and a run catcher sheet, until the run catcher sheet comes out snowy white so I know the machine is really clean.
