Ikea used to do a big roll of paper cheaply if you have one nearby - in with the kids stuff

ChippyMinton · 27/01/2008 17:03

If it's for a club, does your local authority have a scrapstore type place?
Otherwise, wilkos, local £ shop, or reams of A4 printer paper from tesco etc.

bestignored · 27/01/2008 17:10

I got a huge roll of paper on ebay very cheaply. Thought the postage would be awful but it was sent very cheaply via courier.

discoverlife · 27/01/2008 17:12

Viking and they deliver.

Peachy · 27/01/2008 17:16

Asda and texco btoh do printer paper packs in their savers range for under £2- we just use those.

ROSEgarden · 27/01/2008 20:06

HI All.yes the lining paper does sound good!, we were using a strip of paper id torn off to see what it looked like against my walls today..it is the thicker stuff im looking for, like the schools use..we have a type of store locally thats sells this kind of stuff cheaply, but cant remember its name and can only get thin a4 size everywhere ive looked so far?

Viking sell allsorts of stuff.
There are difference grades of lining wallpaper, it does rip easily and doesn't fold crisply if you are hoping to make models etc.

ROSEgarden · 27/01/2008 20:32

no just for painting/drawing/cards etc..baker ross only do free delivery if you spend over £75!!!

Years ago I got an end of roll of unused paper from a printers for free. It was for a playscheme though so the printers were happy to donate it.

ChasingSquirrels · 27/01/2008 20:37

We use wilkinsons lining paper - £1 a roll I think.

ROSEgarden · 27/01/2008 20:38

Schools often use Sugar Paper. When I did playgroup, we used to get it in A2 size from Hampshire County Supplies (schools supplier).

Artful Dodgers can supply sugar paper, £8.04+vat for 250 sheets assorted colours. But postage is quite high - though cheaper than an E-bay seller, I located while searching!
