Patterns for sewing Barbie clothes?

Does anyone know where I could find some patterns for sewing Barbie clothes?

I have a feeling if I try to make my own patterns poor Barbie will look a state (there's no guarantee a pattern will help, but it'll be a start )

There's loads of free ones on the net here andhere. Worth having a root in charity shops and having a look at gumtree too.

Just thought id add here ......
My mum used to make clothes for our sindy dolls fron left over fabric Usually at night. she would press them neatly afterwards and we would find them lined up on the ironing board the next day .
Had to post this cause was just thinking the other day that that was definately my best childhood memory Ever !!

Thanks rantinghousewife- I'm having difficulty finding sewing patterns on the first site... Oh, how I wish I could knit properly

My Aunt used to teach me to crochet fab little barbie bikinis, but I can't remember how to do it now, but that's the inspiration behind wanting dd's Barbie to have homemade clothes!

(but didn't you find that Sindy's hand always fell off? I treated my dolls v. well yet had 2 one-handed Sindys )

Spiderbabymum- such a sweet story!

Oh, I feel guilty that I must have mistreated my Sindys, then

savlon bangles sound good. I used to make beds out of shoe boxes, and sew little duvets and pillows

And make little chests of drawers out of 3 matchboxes glued on top of each other, with little handles glued on.

Top Outfits For Teenage Dolls by Nesta Hollis.
Was published in about 1975, must be long out of print. Sigh.

You can usually find a set in the back of a pattern book e.g Mccalls. I have one that I invested in a few years back and it did me for lots of nieces' birthday presents. Try John Lewis or an independent fabric shop (or online/ebay?)

eg. Simplicity 7073, 4702, 4719

It's worth it to see the other bizarre craft projects lurking in the back of those catalogues .
