Can anyone recommend a great haberdashery store- in the real world, London or nearby?

Hello fellow makers, I'm looking for a great (real world) haberdashery where I can go and assess things- like is the elastic soft enough or snappy enough, the weight of the interfacings etc and with a great choice- cuff ribbing in many colour and widths...
My home town department store's haberdashery has shrunk to almost nothing has gone to a small selection of pre-measured, sealed packs of things of pre-determined lengths. Online ordering is a bit of a lottery.
Is there anywhere in London or East Anglia you can recommend?
Many thanks!

There's a 'Franklin's' in Chelmsford, and Colchester. Great shop with lots of sewing/crafting things to look at.

Walthamstow market used to have a number of haberdashery stalls. Goldhawk Road (near Shepherd’s Bush) also has a concentration of fabric and haberdashery shops.
wrong direction but Birmingham has the rag market, Barry’s, the fancy silk store and Guthrie and Ghani.

Where in East Anglia? There is Habbydays in St Neots I keep meaning to go to which looks huge but always have DH in tow.

Another vote here for Franklins in Colchester/Chelmsford. They have been my go-to for a good 15 years.

In London, VV Roleaux for beautiful but expensive trimmings (mainly ribbons) or MacCulloch & Wallis. Both within walking distance of John Lewis on Oxford st that still has some haberdashery in store.

If you are ever in Bath, the Guildhall market has a wide selection of braids, ribbons and bindings. Lots of sewing gadgets, buttons and yarns.
