Dyeing something with a logo

Hi!

I have this off white cardigan that got a stain on it. I tried everything to take off the stain but it just got lighter but not gone Sad so I've decided to dye it! It's off white so it shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Anyways, it's from Lacoste which means the little crocodile has a white band around. Is there a way to cover/protect it so it doesn't get coloured as well?

Can you remove the crocodile?

I'm terrible at sewing Blush but maybe that's the only option

The white band will only dye if it's made from cotton thread. If it's polyester thread it won't dye and should remain white.

I dye lots of clothing and the vast majority of the time I expect that the stitching will remain the original colour because most commercial machines use polyester thread because it's stronger.

Also check what material the actual cardigan is, again if it's a mostly natural fibre then you should be fine but if it's synthetic it might not hold the colour.

I have add Lacoste crocodiles getting a bit pink in the past. But tbf it was a couple of decades ago.... don't know if they changed

Agree it probably won't dye. If it does it might just look like the design?

What about painting liquid wax over the logo? Memories of batik fabric dying in art classes where we used wax to make designs on the bits of fabric we didn't want dyeing...
