Thanks for the compliment screamingHW altough I confess my knitting skills are still very basic - I am actually in awe when I flick through ravelry and see what people have knitted.

I cannot believe the stuff that some people produce! I am a total amateur and really stumbled on even making holes for fingers in my gloves.

Love the site though.

I will look out for it florenceuk- good idea. I signed up in about May and got on it in July-ish I think. I thought the invites went out at random though, rather than in order? I absolutely love it and it has taken over a bit from MN, I have to admit.

Much to my amazement I've received my invite (after being 745 or somethng in the queue yesterday). I'm blithedance, which is my blog name, but I've joined the mumsnet group. And put up one project.

I am now 7909 in line, so thay've issued 2874 invites since last Friday. Not bad

I've been on it since June, and waited a couple of months IIRC. It is really worth the wait. They definitely said at the time that they invited people at random, not in order, but it sounds as though that's changed. It will be free for all before too long, I think, once this beta testing is finished. The features are just awesome.
