Hi everyone.

Dd (11) has asked for some Prismacolours for Xmas.
Has anyone got them?
Are they worth the money?
Can anyone recommend anything else that's on about the same level?

Thank you in advance. I think I'm going round in circles looking 😁

Try Derwent Pencils. They produce a good range of student and artist quality pencils. I use their Inktense, Lightfast, Pastel and Artist ranges for portraits. [semi-professional] It’s possible to buy end of tourist season offers on sets from October and to be honest they do compare well with prismacolour. I imported prismacolours but did not find they equalled the old Krisma’ range they were supposed to replace.

I have prismacolors, the full 150 set. They are hands down the best present I’ve ever been given. My mum bought them for me for Christmas last year and they have lasted amazingly well. They are just lovely, so bright and vibrant and soft, sooooo blendable! Your daughter has good taste! You can buy prismacolor blenders separately on amazon, they’re cheap, but I personally find them a bit scratchy, compared to the lovely pencils in the main set.
