What is the 'fake' water in the bottom of silk flower arrangements?

A GF and I are running a stall at our schools(very competitve) christmas fair. Last year we did huge silk Amarylis/twisted willow arrangements in a large pot topped with moss - looked stunning, £10 profit per pot but so time consuming. Very popular, sold out within an hour and had to take orders!

This year I thought we'd do similar in large glass vases. I'd like them to look as real/professional as possible.

Who knows how to make the fake water or where to buy it from?

it's called acrylic water, I don't know where you can buy it from in the UK though, but you can get it in a kit form. Maybe if oyu google it you can find it? Or try a local floristry suppliers? Sorry, that's not a lot of help is it?!

There's this and this on ebay (I feel better now I've actually found something for you, lol!)

Thank you GM - I didn't even know what it was called, fake water indeed...

Thank you for the links, lordy it is pricey stuff! We have to go to a floristry wholesaler to buy ribbons and suchlike (so much cheaper than the shops) so will check how much they charge too.

Thanks again
