here is scarf

YES ticky has already linked to it. But I am Intrigued.

I can't work out how to do those bumpy bits, except by using some form of slip stitching and it doesn't look like that. Am wondering if its an increase situation but have a fear of such things, I don't do bobbles or similar.

So please give me your thoughts. Am consulting with Ms Walker (vols 1 and 2) as we speak but am having no joy.

Some sort of step by step instruction would be best ;-).

yes fizz thats basically what I had in mind. There are always holes but a bit of blocking does wonders, I always find, lalala.

oh god you know what? I am going to HAVE to buy the pattern at least now, when it becomes avaliable, else I WILL NEVER KNOW!

So is it just a single layer? I was so sure it was done in the round.

TooTicky · 26/08/2007 19:30

And what about the head? Oh, you'd just have to do the head so you could put a hand inside and work the mouth, wouldn't you? I couldn't bear not to!

fillyjonk · 26/08/2007 19:38

at working the mouth, you'd need flaps for that wouldn't you?

I think its probably doubled up, because if my hollow bumps theory is correct it'd look odd on the other side, and anyway it'd need stability.

it looks to be stocking stitch so MY guess is that its prob done in the round-that said I can see advantages of working 2 sides and seaming in terms of maintaining the structure.
