this seller here

We just did the fish pouch one and ds LOVED it - he was so excited and it took us about 45 mins to an hour, with him doing most of the sewing. He was skipping around going "I've sewed! I've SEWED!"

I think we are going to try the slippers next. They say from 5 + but ds is 4 and obviously needed me to help, but had no problem doing the stitches with me pointing where each one should go.

franny

have you a hobbycraft near you?

they do things like 2 hole punches for £1.99

or tescos ditto, though theirs are shite

oh ok, I have loads. I actually have a complete alphabet, I make personalised cards for kids with their names punched out and a big star also punched out and then I make a double layer of tissue paper, put glitter and glue in it, and add it as a backing.

So now you know my darkest secret.

But aside from that I am NOT A CARD MAKER

fillyjonk · 25/08/2007 21:27

ah my tissue of lies disintergrates

fillyjonk · 25/08/2007 21:27

BUT IT IS ONLY PUNCHES

ONLY PUNCHES

I do not use foam or any of that weirdness

and I only have my punches fetishy thing because of my fondness for jan pienkowski

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 21:28

Oh CUTE

that sounds really pretty

no no hobbycraft, I have been told to go there about 100000 times by Mners when I have asked "where can I get a.....?"

I have never ever seen or heard of one except for people on here talking about it

ds has a thing about sharp things and things that cut

he has umpteen scissors inc those wavy ones ( which btw are very cheap in Baker Ross not like in ELC) and a few hole punches, but I know those long reach ones would have a special place in his collection

i'm sure i DID send you a card. surely i did.

it may not have been homemade, i am a bit shy about such things. because of my fear that people will think i am a Card Maker.

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 21:34

oooh

yes perhaps you did

I am sorry, my memory is dreadful but I think I remember now

but in my defence it did not have sparkly letters cut out of it

OP posts:
fillyjonk · 25/08/2007 21:36

but there is no sparkling . it is not about sparkling

it is about white card and simple shapes

note i am not a card maker

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 21:39

you said GLITTER

SPARKLING GLITTER

I like glitter

and sparkly things

I have a long reach hole punch as I am a cardmaker

SlightlyMadStar · 25/08/2007 21:39

OOOOoooo Franny - you are about 9m late with this discovery.....I was looking for exactly this at XMas.

I gave up, brought some felt, blunt needles and embroidery threads and thought "I will make my own" (albeit without fany long reach punchy things).

The felt needles and embroidery threads are still sitting unused inthe DTDs "busy boxes"

Oh well there is always next year....

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 21:40

SMS there will be another Christmas, this year, you know

so I hear anyway

OP posts:
fillyjonk · 25/08/2007 21:40

yes but am not sure whether i really conveyed the classiness of these cards with my use of the word glitter.

UCM it is wonderful that you are a card maker, how splendid

SlightlyMadStar · 25/08/2007 21:41

Really Franny? Are you SURE? I don't want to be disappointed you know .

UCM · 25/08/2007 21:41

Oh thats ok then

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 21:42

SMS we will just sit here and be hopeful together

it must be any time now, do you think?

Filly glitter is classy enough for me. Oh yes.

OP posts:
SlightlyMadStar · 25/08/2007 21:45

Any time now you say?

Can I start buying then?

Shall I get my glittery shiney things out of the loft and pin them to my ceiling.

Can I?

Can I? Can I?

Pretty pretty please........
