I can't choose between the Singer Confidence 7465 (£190 in Costco) or the John Lewis £99 one which is made by Janome. I can't go any higher price wise.
I haven't sewed since GCSE and I'm now 35. In my head once I get my machine I'll be making all the kids clothes, little bags for my DD, cardigans, everything, but I appreciate that may not be the reality.
I don't want to waste my money on the Singer one because I've heard that the brand isn't great but that's the one I want because it's electric and fancy. I don't want to need to upgrade from the John Lewis machine in 6 months to get the extra functions of the Singer. Please help, I think I may go crazy if I Google sewing machines for much longer. The Singer has some lovely decorative stitches which I'm convinced I'll use but when it comes to it I might have no talent and struggle making a pillow case.
Anyone got any advice? Have you used either machine? DH thinks both will be a waste of money because we have two kids and no spare time but I really want to sew
