Help - loads of craft stuff to find a home for!

Hello, new to this board and hoping for some help!

My dad passed away before Christmas, and I've been dealing with his house contents. He was a massive hoarder so its been a bit of an undertaking. Anyway, he had lately got very in to making cards, and as was his usual way, bought up loads and loads of stuff for it - most of it is unopened and unused and must represent a few hundred pounds at least.

It includes lots and lots of Dreemees stickers, almost all unopened, and CD printable and printing pads, embossing machines, cards, embossing foil and glitters in loads of colours, folding machines and the like. There is 3 crate loads in all.

It seems like a real waste to have it binned by house clearance, so I wonder if there is any good online groups that I could approach to see if anyone wants to give it all a good home?! Dad was based in Eastbourne, if that helps, though I am London based.

Any help would be so much appreciated,

Thanks, Taranta

If you have a local scrap store they'd be happy to take it. The childrens scrap project in London distributes craft items to hospitals, play groups and local charitable organizations. childrensscrap.co.uk

Is there a local children's charity that could use it? Or a children's ward at the local hospital or hospice?

Contact the local beaver / rainbow / brownie group and see if they’d like it .

Thanks, I think most of the stuff is more specialist than that, however, that's the thing, for older teen and adult crafters...?

Guides unit maybe? My daughter's unit would certainly appreciate the offer. Or the local secondary school?

Failing that, give it to a charity shop. I volunteer in one and we love any crafty donations, they sell really well.

One of my craft magazines has a buy/sell page in it, sometimes there are job lots offered for free as well. Maybe have a flick through a couple of specialist card making publications in the supermarket to see if any of them have the same? Also, most craft magazines seem to have an online forum / facebook page for projects where you could post.
