Does anybody need a logo designing? I have designed several to start up my portfolio and I want to build it up before I advertise anywhere what I can do. I am looking for 15 people who would like a logo designing! Let me know if you are interested.

Katymac just read the posting you made - first impressions ARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Too many names, too many logos. THe best thing to do is keep it simple, people will get very confused, stick to one name and one logo. You can easily advertise the branching services you offer on your website and incorporate the one logo to suit all. Think about the direction you want to go in, what will the name Walnut Corner mean to your target clients, and then you can look at your branding! Hope that helps x

Well you see I have the tree for childminding

I got the Walnut & I liked it better

Should eveything else be the Walnut with just the first business having the tree as well

Or do I have to dump the tree?

loopyredangel · 04/07/2007 21:01

Katy I am working on your design right now, will post it on here for you to see give me about 20 minutes

Hi loopy - yes, that second one is more like what I was imagining, but I'm not sure now I can see it.
Could you try a more simple font and how about making it really simple in just blue and white with the tent the same colour as the font so that it looks more like an 'A'.
Can you delete the flag? And delete the patterns on the tent?
Put me to one side if you think I'm going to be too awkward, lol.
My instinct now is to go for a very simple one or two colours for impact. Think Easyjet.
I have tried myself to do a logo but yours is far better. I'm rubbish at pictures.

Katymac · 04/07/2007 21:03

Oh you are clever

I started another thread about whether or not I should just use the walnut

I hate this sort of stuff

loopyredangel · 04/07/2007 21:19

Hi Loopy - Whew - it's been a busy day but I've got a few moments now to reply.
I do like the blue colour, but was wondering whether you could add a cheeky child's face peeping out of the tent flap. The black entrance is a bit too sombre now.
Could you do the S of Scamp and the C of Camp as capitals, and could you make it a font with normal 'a's (an apple with a tail!) so that the little ones can read it?
And please add an exclamation mark after Camp!
Thanks,
And what do you think??

loopyredangel · 05/07/2007 21:12

I felt that it was a bit plain and needed a boost, nice idea about the childs face, and I will do my best with the font, will give you a few options with that so we get it just right!

Gooseegg - I think you will like this alot! CHeck out my profile page! Quite excited!

For those who I have successfully designed a logo for, I can also design your stationery - letterheads, compliment slips, business cards etc.

gooseegg · 06/07/2007 00:08

Oh yes - really getting there now. Could you change the baseball cap to a spiky, minxy haircut and make the child a bit younger - maybe just a face peeking out from the tent? I mainly care for under fives but older is ok too. Would a younger one and an older one look ok? Could you do that? I don't want Americanisms like baseball caps though. Would prefer cheeky, grubby English ragamuffin types. Toddlers who get messy and into mischief.
Could you make the font non-slanting?
Great stuff - I can picture it now on my website/t-shirts etc
Thanks!

loopyredangel · 06/07/2007 10:26

Gooseegg I think it's best not to over complicate the logo, I have corrected the font, and made the boy more english with rosey cheeks and spiky blonde hair, he is a little more todler like also. Will add another character. To be honest, I feel the existing character is better standing outside of the tent. Will send yo uan update later.

Hiya Loopyredangel

Just to let you know I'm not going to me on mn for a few days now, (got to get business up and running now!), so if you can email design to me, I'll appreciate it

ChippyMinton · 06/07/2007 16:39

loopy, did you get my CAT?

loopyredangel · 06/07/2007 19:32

Gooseegg - your next version is now available to take a peep - hope this ticks the boxes - I haven't placed the child in the tent because it adds a bit of depth, and keeps the image fresh and crisp - have added rosey cheeks, an extra toddler is in the image - no messy play as this will overcomplicate the image and when it comes to producing any literature the price will increase the more colours you use.

loopyredangel · 06/07/2007 19:32

Not a problem Jofeb, chippy will check my email now.

gooseegg · 06/07/2007 19:53

Thanks very much!
I love the blue and red colour scheme, and the font is perfect now.
I would like to keep just the older child standing, but leave out the toddler and the bricks. You are right about keeping things very simple.
I love the plain words 'Scamp Camp!' on the child's t-shirt and would also like those as a separate logo, so that my stationery and website can use the larger image with the tent, and I can reproduce just the text for white t-shirts - so all my Scamps will look just like the boy on the logo!
It's BRILLIANT and I will happily send you some payment and chocolate for your trouble.
Goose x

Hiya Chippy, have sent you an email based on my impressions of your creations - hope you like it! Would look beautiful made as a stamp for the back of your cards - I did that when I made my mine!

OP posts:
loopyredangel · 06/07/2007 22:29

PS Chippy as you can see from the design their is space to add web address or phone number underneath the border at the base of the design.
