I've found a nice simple pattern for a 'Sweater Vest' on Ravelry. But it calls for worsted and I have some lovely chunky I wanted to use on it. I would want it to be bigger than the pattern calls for anyway so I thought I could just use the larger wool and needles and keep an eye on the measurements - length ect. www.yarnspirations.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-master-catalog-spinrite/default/dw9769df8b/PDF/CAK0432-008086M.pdf

You can convert the pattern.

Knit a tension Square in your desired wool. Work out the ratio of stitches in your wool vs wool given in pattern and scale accordingly for cast on, number of rows etc.

It is a whole load of maths though - would IR be easier to find a pattern using the Yarn you have?
