I used a peg loom - it's the first thing I made on it.

The Frida skirt and crochet blanket are both fabulous.

I've never heard of a peg loom. Not done any weaving since school!

I think it is quite an ancient form of weaving.

Pegs ( bits of dowel) have small holes drilled near one end, from side to side. The warp yarn is threaded through the little holes, and doubled.

The pegs are stood up in the loom, which is basically a plank with dowel - sized holes drilled in it.

You simply weave the yarn in and out between the pegs. Once you reach the top of the pegs, you lift them out of the holes and slide the work off the peg and onto the warp threads.

It's very satisfying, and quick.

My most recent completed thing is a Roald Dahl themed patchwork quilt for my daughter's toddler bed, to match the one I made her brother 2 years ago.

Susie, that's stunning. I was happy I'd learnt to crochet but your quilt looks amazing. Are you doing it by hand or with a machine?

My current obsession is crochet dinosaurs, so relaxing to make. I'm on my 7th now!

@Tizwoz they are fab, what's the pattern and is it tricky?

Not quite the same level of skill as that fab quilt or crochet dinosaurs but I’m pretty pleased with it.

Nothing tricky, all one stitch worked in the round with increases/decreases

What fab crochet projects - I love them all.

Diamantegal, these quilts were made on my sewing machine, with the Roald Dahl fabrics appliqued on top of the patchwork squares. I am a bit addicted to quilting at the moment. I've got two others on the go, one by machine and one by hand, using the English Paper Piecing technique (see pic)... I suspect the handmade one will take me years!

Going through a spate of painting these little dudes. Keeps me (mostly out of mischief).

Good morning , I buy blank wooden dolls and paint them myself and I made the ufo from wood , paperclay and the feet of it are tiny upside down peg dolls. Xx

I'm a bit of a yarn tart, never really settle on one craft. I've started drop spindle spinning, this is my first proper skein,it was proper ugly in the fleece, but came up ok. And this bag was for my dd's birthday, lined it with gingham.
