Sewing machine help - can you get replacement screws for feet?

Zipper foot comes in 2 parts, joined by a tiny screw-hole. Screw has gone awol. Have found a small one which fits but it isn't held together tight and can still slide horizontally. Is that correct or can I buy a replacement screw easily?

Could you post a photo of the foot attached to the machine?

This the foot assembled . Should there be any left/right movement when screw is tightened?

Have you tried putting the screw in from the front? You should be able to see the screwdriver groove.

It went in from the back but can give it a go from front. The proper screw is more stumpy with a coloured head.

Will only screw in from back.

You may need a replacement screw then. It looks like a Singer presser foot so you should not have too much trouble in getting one, either online or from a sewing machine outlet/repair shop. Take the foot with you so they can fit it properly.

It's a New Home one. Are the screws universal?

Not always, but yours is not an unusual type so I'm pretty sure you can get a replacement.

Thank you. I managed to buy an invisible zip foot yesterday so hopefully will be able to finish this project while I source a new screw.

I'd look at nuts instead of screws
