Do you think this could sell?

Not confident in my own work and still a beginner but I wanted opinions of if you thought I could potentially open this as a tiny business? Not sure if I would get any customers but it's always been a dream. This is from a Christmas stocking but I would probably sell in hoop. Names for customisation but also have some standard designs too. Probably aimed at children, wanted to do some in miniature for Christmas decorations too but missed the boat this year.

Cute! People will always buy things with their children's names on. Can you put them in frames or make them into little cushions? Those are very popular. Good luck!

It's lovely, but what is it and where could I put it. I have a dd with a not normally found name so it would interest me. But it has to be usable all the year for you to make money from it.

just In a hoop it could be hung on a wall, but ideas like cushions etc would definitely have more purpose and sell better. Working on sewing machine skills but could potentially do little bags, cushions, stockings. Could also do couples names, dates and things.

It's embroidery, normally in a hoop but as I said this was to go on a Christmas stocking top.

I'd buy one on a cushion. My dd has a very unusual name so we can never buy anything in shops with it on. She'd love a cushion on her bed with her name on.

What about pe or dance class draw sting bags I'm sure they would. It's cute!

If you're going to do as a business you need to think how much time one takes you, cost of materials, etc. It's lovely but how would you manage order flow? How quickly can you complete one?

How about individual (cheaper) letters so people can choose their initials or mix and match? (I mean for the hangings). You could make a bulk load of these quite quickly when you have more time so not just made on request

I think it's very lovely. You could open a little Etsy shop or a Folksey one to sell them through.

Very pretty, OP, yes, you could sell it. We live abroad and it's really common for stuff to be embroidered like that with names of initials for babies and children e.g. their school book bags and P.E. bags, towels, blankets and so on.

The problem with selling handmade stuff is how you cost it to sell. That looks like it took a fair amount of time to make. You need to make sure you are covering your costs and making a profit and that is very hard to do with handmade stuff especially if your materials are of good quality.
Example: I just made my toddler a t shirt and some pajamas. That was roughly 1m of main fabric plus say 0.5m of ribbing for cuffs and hems and neckbands. That's £27 of materials. Plus my time, it took me a few hours. Plus time, overheads, thread, machine maintenance and it's just not worth it for me.

Not meaning to be a downer, and your work is lovely - I would be delighted to receive something so nicely embroidered, but just make sure you're not pricing yourself too cheap! People I know who sell simple kids clothes charge 20-50 quid equivalent per item.

There are guidelines for pricing handmade work on line, using various simple formulas.

Similar to xmas decorations would be tooth fairy pouches?

Lovely, you could make the individual letters like a pp said and sew them onto miniature bunting triangles. Then someone could choose the name and you could make up some miniature bunting from the letters?
