Any ideas what I can do with these tins?

I have quite a lot of these empty illy coffee tins and I don't really want to throw them out, any ideas on what I can craft/recycle them in to?

We keep screws, nails, bird seed, grass seed and other plant seeds in ours. I buy sacks of bird seed and decant it so it doesn't attract mice. Every size screw etc has its own tin.

Not sure what you could do with them apart from storage.

hammer some holes in and bug a candle in
or put a plastic pot of herbs inside so all the greenery spills over

I use those to put 2ps in for when I take dd to the penny machines.

I mean to save the 2ps in not to take with us!

Unfortunately I already have all the tubs for storage that we need :(

Cover and fill with wax/wick for candles
Cover with fabric and pop some florists sponge in then poke in arrangements of dried holly, fir cones, glitter for Xmas decorations
Cover with fabric/paper/crochet and make a hole in the lid for coins- give each child a coin jar
Cover and use as vases/table decorations

Put them in the recycling bin!

It's like Ramekin Intervention Day when you are encouraged to recycle your huge collection of Gu (other desserts are available) ramekins :)

Well, I didn't suggest this earlier because the OP seemed attached, but, even though they have got a swanky label on them they are only tins. Good for keeping mice off things in the shed that they might otherwise eat.

We give our surplus tins to the old men at our garden society - they love them for their bits and pieces in their sheds.

I wouldn't try candles, you would need more than one wick so they could get warm and the height of the tin relative to the diameter of the opening would mean that you wouldn't get much light once it had burned down a bit.
