Cross Stitching - Moving on from samplers

I've done quite a few samplers - mainly for friends' babies and one for a new home, but quite fancy a 'proper' project for myself.

I do a lot of dancing, and am quite taken by these - I especially like the Viennese waltz and American smooth ones. But will I find them too complicated? They're much bigger and 'denser' than anything I've done before. Would you go for it and just take it slowly, or should i look for something more middling to ease my way in?

if you like the pictures then go for it. if i love the picture im more likely to keep goingeven if its tricky . tbh big pieces like that can be easier than samplers. theres less changing of colours and more large blocks. as you get into it its easier to see if youre doing it right as you have more reference points iyswim.

as long as you count carefully you will be able to do it.

also they are on aida and seem to be mainly whole stitches (from the pictures). this is even easier as you dont have to worry about fractionals etc. it will take longer than a sampler but i dont think they will be any harder for you. i would definitely go for it. theyre lovely
