Has anyone done this course? How much work is involved? I'd love to do it, but am not sure that it is not too much of a commitment. TIA

I'm bumping as I'm interested in starting this too.
I used to attend a monthly beginner's patchwork and quilting course a while ago and one weekend a more experienced lady sat in on our session. Her patchworking was beautiful, like works of art, and when I questioned her she had been doing the C&G course, level by level, for a number of years with a view to eventually teaching it herself.

I will have to start with distance learning as there isn't a college near to me which teaches it at level 1 and I want to get a good foundation before I commit to level 2 and 3.

A quilt shop near me is starting classes in September. I contacted them and they said if you're okay with the basics, (rotary cutting, 1/4 inch seam), they'd recommend doing level 2. I work full time and have 3 DC so not sure if I have the time or energy atm. Grin

I've done C&G patchwork and quilting parts 1 and 2. It is a lot of work, there is a design element, folders of samples to prepare, course work to write up and final pieces to research and make. I really did enjoy it and learnt so much.

I used to set aside regular time every week to keep up. I also visited a lot of museums, exhibitions and shows for inspiration and ideas.

Thanks Chottie
