My copy came today! Have been drooling over the patterns but can't pick which one to make first...happy problem to have Grin

Anyone else treated themselves to it?

PS I recommend the Madison pattern on card, if they are running down the stock on that one-it's really lovely, even if it does include (unusually for them) a zip

Burns, we make a lot of clothing for Regency period living history and a load of the M & M fabrics - block printed cotton, muslins, linen, are perfect for period costume! Nice to know the linen is a good one. I hadn't tried it yet.

I have one machine with a zig zag as I only have vintage machines - and am too lazy to get that machine out just to finish edges. I have made up more than one pattern doing a flat felled seam (if it works for the pattern), which makes a strong seam that won't unravel. I will also use pinking shears to cut fabrics out which helps with some fabrics, not so much with others...

I do french seams on everything where I can, unless the fabric is too heavy. All of my camber dresses have french seams, I use a narrow patchwork foot and it works really well.

I have used the linens - they are really nice. There was one that I wasn't massively fond of, hence it is still unmade, Winchelsea Green. Looks too much like a cushion cover I have here.
