are there fire regulations etc for homemade home furnishings to sell?

I'm thinking of making handmade cushion covers etc to sell at a craft fair. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the regulations on this sort of thing? I assume any cushion inserts I might buy would conform to any relevant standards? Do you have to use fabrics which are impregnated with flame retardants? So you need to label items to say they conform, or include all those warnings you see on shop bought items - don't expose to naked flames etc?

I'm at the very early stages of thinking about this so just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks

I have a label with my name on, washing instructions, made in the Uk, advice on the materials used and a big 'Keep away from fire'

Look up care and compliance labels

I also make cushions and covers

It might be worth trying to contact your local council's Trading Standards team and see if they can give you any guidance, Mad.
