Lakeland Craft Catalogue...

.... have just been looking through a copy of this. Loads of lovely things. Trouble is making a list of all the nice things that ONLY cost reasonable amounts came to rather a lot

Where do other people buy crafty bits from? I've bought a few card making sets from the works but would like to expand my materials a bit.

I think I might go to the Lakeland shop as they probably have a smaller range than the catalogue!

I really like the handmade cards but refuse to pay the price for them in the shops. I do like cross stitch cards, but they take a long time (which isn't something I have now I'm starting to study again).

When I have been into Lakeland I find that they do stock most things from the catalogue. EBay is good for bits & bobs but watch the P&P costs. There are also loads of online stockists - keep an eye out for Clearance Sales !
Look out for useful things not packaged as 'Craft' ie. funky wrapping paper, kids activity packs for example.

I love the lakeland catalogue...

That's a good idea. Some of the packs aimed at kids have some good items in (especially if you want to make kids cards).

It seem as though a lot more shops are stocking crafty bits n bobs - I managed to get a few kits in our local small WHSmith which were half price

I think I'll still pop into Lakeland - I like to have a look at the kitchen gadgets too!

Yes Tesco & Asda also do craft bits too - in fact, craft stuff is taking over the world !

Cool!

What crafty things do you make/do?

I make cards and beaded jewellery.

If you have a PaperMill Shop near you - they are good for bulk card & paper (pick your own colours to fill a box) too

Cool. I'm starting to make non cross stitch cards (only for friends & family's birthdays & special occasions) & do cross stitch & bits of beadwork (although this just tends to be to add a bit of variety to cross stitch projects & to avoid French knots!) Would like to make jewellery but don't have very much time at the moment.

Had a nosy through this and liked the little rosebuds on the front, very easy to make - if you have a little heart punch which I do so will have a little bash at making some.

Also the Christmas toppers look easy to make yourself.

There are some pretty things in there.
