My 21mo DD has crazy frizzy gorgeous corkscrew curls - on a good day. On a normal day she has a wild bush sitting on her head that cannot be tamed by love nor money! I've been doing my homework on curly hair and there have been numerous recommendations for silk pillowcases. Unfortunately DD only spends the first 5 minutes of any night actually ON her pillow, she spends the rest of the night tossing and turning her way around the mattress, usually waking in the morning at the opposite end! So for there to be any benefit from the silk it's going to have to be a silk bedsheet as well and probably a silk duvet cover. However looking online at the cost of a full silk bedding set for a cotbed was enough to set my hair on end as well!
So despite being a complete craft novice, my thought is how hard can it really be to buy some silk and have a go at making the bedding myself?! Famous last words.
Can anyone recommend a reputable website (preferably) or London shop where I can buy some silk by the metre/yard please? I have no idea where to start looking!
Thanks!
