Bling it at home?

My dd loves the converse that have been 'blinged' with crystals / bows / resin flowers etc. All beyond my price budget unfortunately but would love to work on a pair ourselves as a type of mum /daughter project.
Can anyone please recommend glue type, crystals , embellishments etc and where best to buy from please?Smile

you tube it? I've seen gypsy wedding thelma madine team on tv using the yellow tubes of glue think the brand is UTH or something for glueing crystals on to dresses. id say its prob the right glue for you? maybe ebay the crystals? use a white/clear wax pencil to pick crystals up rather than tweezers too. just an idea, havent tried myself but could be tempted

could be trial and error? maybe practice on a wee cheapie pair of pumps/rubber toe gutties from a cheaper shoe store? try looking at the nail crystals? im reckoning if they can last on manicures they should last on the shoe toes?

UHT is the glue. You can buy small tubes of it in the pound shop.

It won't be perfect but it's pretty hard wearing.

Expensive crystals would be Swarovski. ( although they shouldn't be expensive for what they are big that's another rant altogether...!)
If you search flatback crystal/rhinestone you should get some options.

As for the little plasticy bits... Just trawl beads on eBay and see what you can find that would be suitable. There are tons.

Use a cocktail stick or the flat ended nail sticks for getting things precise, you don't want to smudge glue on your fingers and then onto the front of the bead as it won't be shiny.

Happy sticking!
