Wrist warmers - how much wool do I need?

I want to knit some wrist warmers in double knitting wool. How much wool would I need? I want to buy some soft wool maybe with silk on line and don't want to get half way through and run out. I was thinking of a couple of inches past my wrist for the length.

I've crocheted a few pairs-not sure if its helpful but its taken about 100g for each pair.

I think I used just over 1 50g ball to make myself some fingerless gloves - I have the best part of the second ball left over. It was a very plain pattern though.

If you are doing wrist warmers and not coming up over your hands, I reckon 1 50g ball would be plenty.

Have you been on Ravelry? You can search on wrist warmers and see different patterns and the yardage needed. You can also see how much people have needed for their attempts too.

It's quite US centric (talks about yards and skeins) but converts to metres too.
