hi,
does anyone know of a good wool shop in london? i need a shop that sells lots of different colours of the same type of wool, not a shop that sells lots of different types of wool in very few colours iyswim. i've tried john lewis, liberty, peter jones and am just fed up! i want to crochet a blanket with seven different colours, so i need to find somewhere with LOTS of different colours. it's impossible to find more than 3 colours that match ime...

warthog, our dodgy local yarn shop has a wide range of cheap synthetics, all the same kind, but in different (horrible) colours.

God knows, I have a good collection of mismatched synthetics in my stash, that I will never use. Probably not enough colours for your needs, though, as they're all different weights.

Should have said, I'm in E3, as is our dodgy local shop. Texere is no doubt better, though.

hiya warthog, this is the woolshop near to me (it doesn't look like that btw ) they have heaps of acrylic in big balls plus lots of the latest Rowan and other yarns. they also do nice wooden needles/hooks as well as metal ones. it's pay/display parking round there but i'd check if they're open first, i remember meeting a woman who'd fed a meter only to find they'd got a sign up saying they were out for a bit...

thanks phillip. will pop in there when i'm next in the area.

i'm pretty impressed with texere though. i think that's probably my best bet.

thanks for all the help!
