Knitting with dishcloth cotton

I want (the project after the project after the one I'm planning to start after I finish this project...) to make some cable knit cushions in cream. Quite fancy making them in dishcloth cotton in natural - cheap and I've seen some in a shop which I'm pretty sure was dishcoth cotton (or similar).

But what weight is it? None of them say so I'm not sure what pattern to pick. Could do trial and error but I felt sure someone on here would know.

The one we sell is roughly the same as double knit cotton weight so should knit to a double knit size.

hmmm, don't think DK would cut it - was thinking it was chunkier

The ones I have (for crocheting barnacles and coral, obviously o) are definitely DK.

Any suggestions for slightly thicker cotton that isn't too expensive?

My suppliers all only stock dishcloth in one weight, never even seen it thicker at the trade shows (they may well exist I have just never seen them)

Drops Paris?

Or possibly the Drops Bomill Lin which is a cotton linen mix.

The Crochet Chain that I've linked to have the Drops cottons on sale at the moment.

that second one looks possible - off white sold out in the first and vanilla sounds a bit too yellowy/cream for me.

Very tempting

Vanilla looks very yellowy. Wool Warehouse has the off white at full price.

All the cotton yarns were on sale last month - I think the Crochet Chain have ordered more stock and are selling that at the sale prices as they ran out last month - once it's gone it's gone though and back to full price.
