I have organised a meet up with some friends next week and am in the throes of organising the craft element however, the craft has divided opinions significantly.

The whole morning is about the teddy bears' picnic I really wanted to try to use things that they could find in the park (like leaves etc) that teddy bears would eat to make a healthy eating plate for a teddy bear.

The divided opinion is that I would be setting a bad example by allowing them to pick leaves from trees whereas someone else has said it would not be a problem if it was just one leaf per child (about 15 kids in total).

Please give me some advice on how I can make this craft a bit more environmental - I am not that crafty at the best of times.

Make the rule to pick stuff off the ground only

Is the craft for adults or kids?

How old are the kids if it is for them?

If it is just kids, just go on a scavenger hunt with them, they can pick things up from the ground.

The craft is for kids (most of them are around the age of 3). Are there leaves on the ground this time of year? I feel it would be a bit one dimensional. Do you think it would be strange to have a few paper pictures / stickers of things like insects and flowers as well as things from the park? I know it sounds like a daft thing to be obsessing about but I really want it to be cohesive.
