Teeny crochet hook.....

Hey guys! I have 'inherited' a very small hook which I think must be for lace but I am confused as to the size of it. The company is Millward and it has a lovely cover over the top of the hook, otherwise it would have been damaged a long time ago. On the flattened bit there is a 6 at the 'top' and a 24 at the 'bottom'. Any ideas?

I suspect that the 6 is the needle size and the 24 is the thread size. But I could be wrong.

It's just so tiny!!!! Would love to use it but I think it might kill me with the fiddly-ness!!!!

Keep it - they are very useful for drawing pulled threads to the back of jumpers etc. Or if you take up tatting lace. I have a few of these, and a bundle of old extra-fine knitting needles I use for socks sometimes.

you could crochet some tiny Christmas tree snowflakes maybe?

I use mine in lacemaking for adding beads to Christmas work - push it through the bead, pull back a loop of thread, put other bobbin through the loop... VERY useful!

I have a teeny tiny one that looks like a bent sewing needle it's so thin! Same as yours, with a little cover on, but I can't read the number.
