Where can I find industrial strength sticky back plastic?

I need some tough sticky back plastic to use for some labels. The stuff from WH Smith is rubbish - there's more stick in a Post-It note. Does anywhere still do that stuff that used to drive me mad getting stuck to itself? That's the stuff I need and I thought the arts and craft folk would know where to get it.

DIY / hardware stores - the type that stocks 50 different types of screws next to the tea cosies. 'Fablon' is what all the good old Blue Peter presenters used to use.

Does fablon do a see thru one? I need it to attach some labels to toy boxes. (I am finally getting round to the new year's resolution of getting organised...)

yes - 3.99 from Focus DIY

could you maybe laminate the labels and then superglue them on?

I thought about that Yorkiegirl but wasn't sure as some of the boxes are that slightly textured plastic which is hard for glue to stick to.

Will check B&Q for see-through fablon, ta!
