Knitting something special

I have just inherited some really special fingering weight wool angora yarn. It's divine. I'd like to make a lace shawl but ravelry is a bit overwhelming when searching for patterns sometimes. Has anyone any pattern recommendations?

The yarn was a gift from my late grandfather. I want to make something beautiful but that I can wear often.

I usually go to my local library for knitting patterns and scan them onto computer when I get home.
They tend to have more up-to date and modern patterns than websites with free ones.
There's a lovely book with many shawls in that use tiny seed beads knitted into the pattern. I'm sorry that I can't remember the name of it but it gives a lovely affect (effect?).
Good luck, and happy knitting!

How about this? I know the designer and she made it so that you knit from one corner and just keep going until it's as wide as you want it to be (so you can't run out of yarn?) It's on Ravelry too but not the English version. I managed to print a PDF successfully from that link.
