Made things since I was bigger enough to use a sewing machine. Made little crafts for dd and friends and lots of clothes for dd over time. Alwayes been told
I should sell them but never have. Then the chance to make some money for charity and I thought of my sewing skills.

I now have few different thing, girls handbag, scrunchies, mini tote bags, earring, hair clips, tooth fairy pillows. Have a small stand at a church fete (1300 people last year). Now i'm worried will people like my stuff, have i priced it right. If i've got that right have i made enough stuff as not a big stock as i hope to sell some before i make more.

Well treat it like an experiment. Price a few things at the front for what you think they'll go for. If they don't, reduce the price and see if they go. Keep a record and price in future accordingly. Have you tried selling on ebay at all? If nothing else you could see what similar items are going for.

I love buying things like this but I am often put off if things are not clearly priced....I don't like asking....I want to look and consider. I also find that if things at fetes are much above a fiver, then I'm not keen unless it;s GORGEOUS or something I need.

A fiver an under is a good start really. I won't pay more than that for a child's bag as I could make one myself or get one in Primark as bad as that sounds!

Thanks neo thats great feedback in fact my girls handbag are the only £5 thing the rest range from £1.50. The fete was good a slow day but was very happy with sales, and got some very positive feedback.

Now done a few different very small events and am have happy with my sales not to many that I can't handle the supply but enough to raise some money and have some fun doing so.

Also the other thing was I grew up with a mother who was always making things and a lot of our clothes were handmade, so I don't really remember learning to sew. I'm amazed how many are were amazed that all my things were made as they wouldn't know were to even start.
